Elliot
Missouri's "Hot Dog" |
 |
Asia
Somehow I ended up in a pound in rural Missouri. I
don't know what I did wrong but my owner abandoned
me. I just know I don't like little kids who are noisy and
throw things at me. One day, a tender hearted visitor
saw me in the cage, looking very dirty and matted. She took me out of there that very day. A call to
ARRF provided help for me to get cleaned up and a
place to stay. I love to play with the big boys(dogs)in
doggy daycare. The gals at LaBest (Kennel) tell me I
am handsome and a good boy. I need someone to
adopt me who really understands Pekingese, our
spunky attitude and of course, will love me. Asia was
recently adopted to a loving family. |

Chief
Chief is a purebred blue merle Australian Shepherd
and was given up by his owner ( an ARRF volunteer)
due to a change in their job schedule. He was born
January 26, 2006 and is neutered and his shots and
heartworm meds are current. He loves to play frisbee,
likes other friendly, non-aggressive dogs and is ok
with cats. He loves people, is totally house trained
and a fenced yard would be ideal. If you have time and
TLC for this sweetheart, please call or e-mail ARRF.

Cocoa
Cocoa was found approximately 5 weeks ago laying in a
bed of dry grass in a field. She was emaciated, frightened
and in pain. After given food and water for about 2 weeks in
the field, she finally followed a volunteer to her car and
hopped in. She was taken to the vet where she received
medical care. At that time she weighed 17 pounds and was
guessed to be about 10 months old. The vet noticed that
Cocoa had a few broken ribs and a dislocated right hip.
Cocoa is now healing and continues receiving medical care
courtesy of ARRF.
This sweet Labrador-Beagle mix is in foster care until it is
determined what type of surgery and rehabilitation will be
needed. Cocoa has become a part of the foster
family. She is completely house trained and always alerts
someone if she needs to go outside.
ARRF tries in every way possible to provide medical care
and follow up treatment for the animals. ARRF appreciates
donations so we can continue to provide medical care for
sick or injured strays.

Pinky
I was found at a southern Illinois quarry, hungry and looking
for help. A nice lady gave me some bologna and coaxed
me into her car. After a bath and good food, I began to
look like a new dog. I received medical attention, shots, a
micro-chip and went to a foster care home to get better
and learn some manners.
I am a gorgeous, sweet, female Boxer mix born around
December 1, 2005. Weigh in at about 55 lbs. and have
been spayed. I love people, especially kids and ladies.
Some men and other dogs are ok too. I know there is
someone out there who will love me. I am housetrained if
you pay attention and I like to ride in the car. A fenced yard
would be an ideal place to play.
Please come see me and let me show you how much love
I have to give. Call 618-345-1778 or email ARRF and set
up an appointment. Thanks for looking at me!!!
