BRIDGY wandered into a neighbors’ open door one morning and started playing with her dogs. This cute Beagle-Rat terrier mix stayed there awhile and then went to a foster home. The foster care parents called ARRF to help place Bridgy & receive medical care. She is about 1 yr old., spayed; house trained and loves to walk on a leash, sniffing the ground as she goes. She would be great with children; single person or couple who has time to be with her. A fenced yard would be nice too. AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION

JAIDE was limping across a field in southwest Illinois
when she was spotted by a young couple coming
home from church. It took an hour for them to gain her
trust using treats and kind voices. They realized she
was injured, took her home and started calling
Agencies for help. Once ARRF heard her story, we
knew Jaide needed immediate medical attention. The
attending Veterinarian did x-rays and said her left front
leg was so severely injured that amputation (surgery)
was the option.
This very sweet, shy female Sheltie-Spaniel mix is 6
mos. old, will stay smaller and loves women in
particular. She has recovered, is walking well and
loves the outdoors. Jaide needs lots of TLC to
blossom and grow up “to be all she can be”. If you can
open your heart to this gentle dog please call or email
ARRF
Ebbie is a female half pure black Labrador and half pure Golden
Retriever about 2 1/2 yrs. old, and spayed. Her family had to give her
up when she sustained an injury and needed medical treatment.
They called ARRF for help and surgery was performed on her left
rear leg and she is doing very well in recovery. Ebbie is apple-pie
sweet, housetrained, loves kids but is a little shy with adults she
doesn't know. She has won the hearts of her caretakers and staff. To
adopt her call 618- 345-1778 or email us information about you or
your family.
Abby-ten week old beagle who was caught in a recliner. Her owner
could not afford to take care of her and when she continued to
scream in pain, she was turned over to ARRF. She was evaluated
by Dr Ervin at Horseshoe Lake Animal Hospital who confirmed an
incomplete (greenstick) spiral fracture of the femur. He says the
best option is surgery but due to the prohibitive costs, the next best
thing is cage rest for a few weeks and she should heal. Once follow
up x-rays confirm she is healed she will be up for adoption. She will
be staying with one of our board members in foster care until she is
released from care.
