ARRF'S FIRST RESCUE !

SNICKERS, ARRF's first rescue case was
rescued from a muddy creek in Caseyville IL
on March 16, 1995.  In January of 1996 she
was diagnosed with cancer and on February
14, 1996, she was allowed to rest and gently
eased into God's hands.
In memory of Snickers the ARRF Board of
Directors has decided to start the "SNICKERS
MEMORIAL FUND".    Click

Help Us make a Difference

There wasn't any room at other humane
agencies.  Faith is currently in foster care
until she is old enough for surgery.
ARRF has "faith" that many people may
want to donate to help her and other ARRF
injured animals receive the medical care
necessary to give them a second chance at
life.
Gizmo is a Pomeranian-Cairn Terrier mix
about 2 yrs.old.and this is his story. " I was
limping along a country road in Southern
Illinois when a good Samaritan found me. I
went to one Agency temporarily but they
didn't have room so ARRF took me in. I was
taken to an area veterinarian for an x-ray and
medical attention. My right front leg was so
damaged they had to perform surgery. I have
joined the ranks of amputees and thanks to
ARRF, I have found a wonderful foster home
to get the attention I need while I recover. I
am learning how to walk and run on three
legs. Everyone has been so kind to me and I
am now a happy dog. "   Please help other
injured animals receive medical attention
and rehabilitation by donating to ARRF.
Captain "CAT" Sparrow
Gizmo
Faith
Captain was found by a good Samaritan in
Southern Illinois suffering from a serious
eye injury. As you can see surgery  was
performed to remove the eye, the medical
cost covered by ARRF, and this sweet cat
is recovering well.  He was named after
Captain Jack, of Pirates of the Caribbean
movie as he must have had a harrowing
adventure to tell us if he could talk.  He is
healthy, about 10 mos. old, neutered and
micro-chipped." FOR ADOPTION call

Dog hit by car, allegedly beaten by owner
needs publics help in surgery costs
LELA -- is a sweet, young, purebred yellow Labrador who
was hit by a car and suffered a pelvic fracture.  Her owner
decided that her “time was up” and she became a victim of
abuse.  The specialized surgery required to correct the
injury to her pelvis will be done by an Orthopedic Specialist
so the cost of her care and rehabilitation will be significant.
ARRF is now collecting donations to pay for the surgery and
follow up care.  Please mail donations to the address (as
posted on our website) to the “Faith and Friends” Injured
Animal Fund to provide monies necessary for the care of
this and other injured babies.  Thank you for your support!

LELA (and Family) RECOVERY UPDATE:

Lela was recently adopted by her foster parents and continues to slowly
improve each week.  Her
(recent surprise) puppies appear to be healthy,
growing cuter every day, and will also be adopted by their foster parents.

Lela hopes to be making her public debut at the “Open House for the
Animals” benefiting ARRF -- November 11th from 2 - 5 p.m. at the Ravissant
Winery in Belleville, Illinois.  If the puppies continue to do well, we hope they
too may be making their debut at the Open House as well.  Several other
ARRF Alumni pets will be there too.  Everyone is welcome to attend.  An
Open House Flyer with further information is forthcoming.
